What is Azadwai 2.0
Its an upcoming community learning space in Gurgaon right next to Aravalli Forest. A space to help connect with self, with others and with nature. A space where we and our children can unfold in our own unique ways, find our true expression and purpose unbiased by societal agenda. A space which focuses on cultivating foundational values of generosity, self enquiry, service and resilience instead of just imparting skills without any purpose. A space where Nature is the ultimate teacher, where we as learners talk less and observe more. Its a space that wants to create joyful human beings and a healthy planet.
Our Pedagogy
We believe the best way to learn something is by living it. Living as part of a self-reliant community, gives an opportunity to learn life-skills like farming, cooking, eco-architecture, making alivelihood etc in an unstructured way, which is most effortless and effective. Community living with purposeful individuals also helps one cultivate virtues like sustainable living, natural healing, self-enquiry, collaboration,, generosity, creative expressions etc, which no books or structured programs can teach.

That’s why at the core of Azadwadi’s learning design, we kept a resident community - a community made up of passionate purposeful individuals, with diverse interests and expertise like permaculture, eco-architecture, artists, mediators/seekers, natural healers etc. They are self-reliant in all day-to-day activities of the space like farming, cooking etc and also run few alivelihood ventures (green businesses that work towards reviving the planet and human potential) to meet the financial needs of the space and of their own eg art studio, Kitchen cafe, native trees nursery etc Urban families along with their kids can visit and co-live with the resident community to imbibe the life and business skills as well as community values, through unstructured learning. They can also become part of structured learning programs facilitated by the resident experts to go deeper into a specific area. The community (few residents and urban families) can travel together to other such alternative spaces in India to get more exposure and inspiration to lead a meaningful life.
